About this event
Poet and artist Renée LaMie will lead a collaborative class and writing workshop that will explore the antipoetry possibilities of an Ekphrasis. Participants will be prompted with individual assignments during the story portion of the class, when the art is revealed. After the art/story portion, participants will bring their pieces together to write as many collaborative antipoems as possible. 1-hour talk/prompt writing, 30-minute collaborative antipoetry writing. No need to know anything about antipoems or Ekphrastic poetry; if you're curious, you'll learn by doing.
