- ➤ After a December fire destroyed the dream home the couple built over 25 years in the Ninemile Valley, retired teachers Dale Lackner and Laura Roxbury are planning to rebuild next year with help from family and neighbors. They lost personal mementos and pets but remain grateful for the community support. KPAX

- ➤ Missoula favorite Tagliare Delicatessen will open a new shop in Airway Heights—Spokane next month to bring its famed sandwiches to fans on the road. Locals can soon enjoy a taste of Missoula while catching games or concerts out west. Newstalk KGVO
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Governor Gianforte's office announced Montana's unemployment rate rose to 3.3% in November, but the state has kept rates at or below 3.4% for over four years. The labor force added about 2,200 workers in the last two months, with nearly 800 new jobs (steady growth). KPAX
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Missoula Public Library’s spectrUM Discovery Area and NASA have partnered to bring 124 user-friendly telescopes to public and tribal college libraries statewide; the $250,000-funded program +designed to spark local curiosity+ aims to equip every library by mid-September. - ➤ Erik Potter, a Stevensville High graduate, has been awarded a second $10,000 flight school scholarship from the Stevensville Airport Foundation nearly two years after his first award. The funding helps reduce his monthly loan expenses as he continues his aviation training. KPAX

GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Missoula City Council approved annexing 93 acres from the former Roseburg Forest Products site along Interstate 90 for future redevelopment, including possible housing and industrial projects.
