  • Missoula’s first Asian night market announced its event date and location, and organizers plan an evening featuring Asian cuisines, arts + cultural traditions at a local venue.  Missoulian

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • A climate emotions support group pilot, led by a University of Montana graduate, ran six sessions with college students to build coping skills amid fewer snow days and warmer conditions.   • Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks will start a rulemaking process to study banning motorboats on Bitterroot River tributaries, focusing on Mitchell Slough after concerns were raised at Thursday's commission meeting.   • New data show 4,000 fewer Montanans purchased an ACA health plan this year because Congress did not renew key subsidies, making premiums higher and coverage harder to afford. Experts expect enrollment to fall even further as costs rise & more people drop coverage.  Montana Public Radio

  • Developers behind the Dougherty Ranch project near Flynn Lane are seeking a three-year extension for its two phases featuring 101 lots and 641 rental units — city officials will soon review the proposal following updated planning codes.  KPAX
