  • Gas prices in Missoula varied today as one station charged $2.74 and another $3.04, while the average rose by 5.5 cents to $2.78 per gallon. ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Since Monday, Mar. 2, a controlled burn has taken place near the old Roseburg site north of Missoula — the Missoula Fire Department says smoke will be visible for several days and advises residents not to call 911 regarding the burn.  KPAX

  • Missoula County launched its Housing and Community Development survey on March 2 to gather resident input for funding priorities. The survey remains open until March 31 and results will be reviewed at the County Commissioner's meeting on April 23.  MontanaRightNow
  • Today, the city unveiled its final plan for the 1.3-acre Missoula Midtown Commons park — despite concerns from residents that the master plan recommended a larger space. Officials said the project will move forward as planned.  Missoulian

HEALTH NEWS

  • Cancer Support Community moved about a month ago to a new ADA-accessible facility on Stephens Avenue near Brooks Street, offering more room for group activities and private therapy sessions. The center will continue delivering classes, support services, and a welcoming wig room for those impacted by cancer.  KPAX
  • Missoula police diverted traffic on South Reserve Street Monday after responding to an individual in a self-harm crisis; officers safely engaged the person who moved to a secure location for help.  KPAX
