  • Truck driver Soma Singh, 62, said he navigates nearly weekly mountain pass closures from lingering winter weather by using safe driving practices—leaving plenty of room and cautious passing—while hauling goods from Indiana to British Columbia; other professional truckers in the Missoula Valley confirmed that tough weather does not slow their work. Local drivers stress that motorists need to give truckers the space they require during challenging conditions.  KPAX

  • A HomeGnome.com report ranked Missoula as the 36th safest city and Billings as the 23rd among 477 U.S. cities for natural disasters—factors like population risk, infrastructure, and emergency response were part of the study.   • The Missoula Parking Commission approved repair work on the northwest corner of the Bank Street parking garage in downtown Missoula to fix a safety issue. Construction will begin soon with an estimated cost of $3.9 million (final cost pending design) and alternate parking provided, and work is planned to finish by the end of 2025.  MontanaRightNow
