- ➤ The Center for Restorative Youth Justice is expanding its services to Missoula to help underserved teens avoid getting into the legal system — the group will offer restorative conferences and youth court referral programs and will start operations next school year once it secures new office space. - ➤ Starting April 15, Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks said hunters could use E-Tags for spouses & minor children after Governor Greg Gianforte signed House Bill 98 that changed the paper-only rule. Families can link extra licensing accounts in the MyFWP digital wallet, which downloads E-Tags when internet is available and must be validated at harvest time. Newstalk KGVO
- ➤ Lawmakers in the Montana Legislature worked to pass property tax relief before the session ended, but close votes stalled key proposals (House Bill 155 and House Bill 231). The Senate revived HB 231 Friday while the House approved a new version that offers a one-time property tax rebate as lawmakers began their Easter break. Missoula Current
- ➤ City officials proposed using $44,000 from the Johnson Street Shelter tax increment—pending a legal review—to add to funds for a $400,000 housing sprint that will help shelter residents find housing before the shelter closes in September. The plan, which already has $40,000 and a $150,000 commitment, follows recent moves that relocated four shelter occupants as shelter operations wind down. KPAX
