- ➤ After losing a lawsuit in November, Wildlife Services is preparing a full environmental impact statement to study how its predator removal methods affect grizzly bears — covering both lethal and nonlethal approaches — with completion ordered by November 1, 2026. - ➤ Montana Fish, Wildlife, and Parks says bear spray should be replaced after three to five years and disposed of properly; large amounts may be taken to approved landfills while small quantities can be handled at park stations.
