- ➤ This past Saturday, Dixon School hosted the annual Bison Stampede fundraiser where runners participated in a 5K, 10K, or fun run to raise funds for incentives, field trips, and a new playground for about 40 students. Dixon School plans to hold the fundraiser again next spring. KPAX

- ➤ Local experts advise gardeners to check that lady beetles bought for pest control are native, such as convergent species (instead of invasive seven-spotted or multicolored Asian).
