Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks is hosting a lifejacket donation drive from May 19th to May 23rd (during National Safe Boating Week) to restock community loaner stations.

Donated lifejackets (if they meet U.S. Coast Guard standards) will be cleaned and distributed to help keep water recreation safe.

Missoula residents enjoyed a bright new look as 150 flower baskets were installed on Beartracks Bridge and along downtown streetlights, extending a long-held spring tradition.

The Downtown Missoula Partnership chose local blooms from Pink Grizzly Greenhouse and will tend the installation until UM Homecoming weekend—planning removal later in the fall.

A former California resident posted a viral TikTok video sharing her Montana survival guide and noted that the state has friendly locals, cheap drinks, and very cold winters.

She advised Californians to respect Montana ways—such as switching car tags—to blend in if they move here.

Marine turned University of Montana grizzly researcher Tanner Liermann will earn his degree this Saturday from the Adams Center as one of 1,800 graduates in the class of 2025 — he served as a Marine before beginning his research on grizzly bears.

On May 10, more than 1,000 students graduated from the University of Montana at the Adams Center—graduates earned degrees in subjects like forestry, education, business and journalism.

Master’s and doctoral candidates were also honored for their hard work.

According to Cheapism, The Keep in Missoula was ranked among the best seafood restaurants in America.

The restaurant has served locals since 1993 and offers quality food and special views.

Runners participated in the first Marshall Mountain Revival Race at Marshall Mountain Park on Mother's Day, choosing between a 5-mile, 25-kilometer and relay course while volunteers served a post-race breakfast buffet.

Race director Mike Foote said the event—organized by Rut Mountain Runs—will boost support for the park and set the stage for next year's race.
