  • Missoula will see a second Jersey Mike's open on Brooks Street on Wednesday, June 3. The fast food location will join the original near REI & Coldstone, adding a familiar favorite to the community.  Newstalk KGVO
  • Two fast-food restaurants on Brooks Street in south Missoula are temporarily closed for construction. The Taco Bell is expected to reopen in two to three weeks while the KFC/A&W location's full rebuild may take months.  Newstalk KGVO

ECONOMY NEWS

  • Montana gas prices have leveled off after weeks of increases as most Missoula stations charged $4.69 per gallon Monday, and GasBuddy noted that relief may be temporary given shifting oil prices (according to petroleum analyst Patrick De Haan).  Newstalk KGVO
  • In April, Montana’s jobless rate dropped to 3.5% (Missoula at 2.8%) as payroll jobs in construction and healthcare rose, though prices increased 0.6%. Governor Gianforte said the 406 JOBS plan will help meet local employment needs.  Missoula Current
