GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Drivers in Missoula should plan for delays as the Montana Department of Transportation begins major resurfacing projects this summer; on Monday, June 1, a section of Reserve Street between 39th Street & Brooks Street will be closed while crews work on seven miles of roadway.  Newstalk KGVO
  • Residents in Missoula urged city leaders to increase transparency about pesticide application in parks and to consider an organic land care policy. City officials said that pesticide use near playgrounds and picnic areas is minimal (and tightly regulated) while open spaces are treated for invasive weeds with targeted measures.  MontanaRightNow

HEALTH NEWS

  • Montana residents shopping at Walmart should check their Blackstone Parmesan Ranch seasoning (7.3 oz, product #4106) as it is under an FDA recall for possible salmonella risk; no illnesses have been reported, and affected units must be discarded per replacement instructions.  Newstalk KGVO
