Two mental health nonprofits have merged into AWARE—combining their mental health, disability, and early intervention support across 56 counties—and will complete the merger in the coming months.

Missoula Under Construction will be held on Saturday, June 7, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Missoula County Fairgrounds to raise funds for childhood nutrition programs for the Food Bank and Community Center.

After a decade of persistent effort by advocates, Montana officially recognized Indigenous Peoples Day as a holiday — a milestone marking years of work to honor indigenous heritage.

Twelve Native American lawmakers formed the Montana American Indian Caucus this session and helped pass key bills that change the Indian Child Welfare Act and establish Indigenous Peoples Day along with reforms in child care, housing, education, and health care.

Caucus members met each Wednesday—both via Zoom and in person—to build bipartisan support and plan future tribal consultations.
