  • John Henry Eikens pleaded no contest to a deliberate homicide charge for fatally shooting 56-year-old Tom Yearboro during a June 3, 2024 incident on the 1700 block of South Eighth Street West in Missoula—her sentencing is set for July 21 at 9:00 a.m. at the courthouse.  MontanaRightNow

  • Parents in Missoula were briefly alarmed today when an email said Hawthorne Elementary was on lockdown—school officials clarified it was an administrative error and that students are safe.  MontanaRightNow

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Dr. Kelsey Jencso, Montana’s State Climatologist, discussed the Montana Mesonet project on KGVO Talk Back as a network that gathers weather, soil, and snow data to improve climate and agricultural monitoring.
