  • A $24 million federal grant for safety upgrades on the East Missoula bridge along Highway 200 was cut amid debates over equity concerns — county officials and community leaders now plan to seek alternative funding — and they say renewed efforts will restart long-planned improvements.  KPAX
  • Fire crews kept the Deer Fire east of Missoula under control after it started Friday night in steep terrain that led to road and trail closures.
