EDUCATION NEWS

  • Chris Clevenger (a Loyola graduate and former Hellgate principal) started as principal at St. Joseph Elementary and Middle School on July 1 after a four-day retirement; he said the move feels like coming home as he prepares for the new school year on Aug. 27.  Missoulian

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • The story looks back at the Big Burn (a 1910 fire) that hurt communities in Montana and Idaho and led to changes in how wildfires are fought, which saved the U.S. Forest Service.   • A local viewer reported multiple fox families living near residents along the Milwaukee Trail by Loyola Sacred Heart High School—school officials are arranging a relocation with a local trapper while state wildlife experts say such family groups are normal and are being monitored for public health.  KPAX
