- ➤ CBL Properties, a Tennessee-based company, bought Southgate Mall on Brooks Street as part of a $178M deal that also included three other middle-market malls. Washington Prime Group had owned the mall after buying it for $58M in 2018 from the Lambros family and filed for bankruptcy in 2021—showing signs that recovery is reaching beyond high-end properties.
