- ➤ Odd Pitch Brewing and TOTFEST launched Heavy Metal Hot Dish, a specialty beer that donates one dollar from every can to Camp Mak-A-Dream, helping Montana families facing cancer challenges. Packs are available now at the Good Food Store in Missoula + supplies are limited. Newstalk KGVO
- ➤ Missoula will launch a pilot shuttle service called the Marshall Mountain Line on September 13 to connect residents with Marshall Mountain Park. The free shuttle runs hourly on weekends from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.—serving the Downtown Transfer Center, Missoula College, and Sha-Ron stops until October 26 while accommodating 16 passengers with bikes. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Missoula Montana Airport completed a major runway rehabilitation on Runway 12—30 after a 127-hour closure from September 2 at 8:00 a.m. to September 7 at 3:00 p.m. The work replaced 45,000 tons of pavement, installed 80,000 feet of new electrical conductors, and upgraded 330 airfield lights to LED while additional electrical work continues through the fall and runway grooving and final painting are set for spring 2026. - ➤ Montana beat Central Washington 42 to 17 on Saturday, Sept. 6, with running back Eli Gillman rushing for 198 yards and three touchdowns while the team averaged 8.9 yards per carry—head coach Bobby Hauck said the strong performance could keep them near the top of the conference this season. - ➤ The Grizzly Football Coach's Show returned at the Den Restaurant on Linda Vista Boulevard in Missoula as head coach Bobby Hauck and radio personality Riley Corcoran recapped the last game and previewed next opponents *Grizzlies* for the season. - ➤ Montana beat Division II Central Washington in Missoula on Sept. 6 when running back Eli Gillman ran for a career-high 198 yards and three touchdowns on 15 carries + quarterback Keali’i Ah Yat threw two touchdown passes for 250 yards in a 42-17 win.
