- ➤ Story House Montana is filming its first feature film—St. George—at Caras Park in a scene set at the Fireman's Fair and is seeking extras. The free event offers food trucks, games and a behind-the-scenes look while part of the film's proceeds will benefit the National Down Syndrome Association, so registration is required due to limited space. ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ A study by Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks showed that in 2024 anglers added over $910 million to state GDP and more than $1.5 billion to business earnings. The research found cold-water fishing supported nearly 16,000 jobs & generated $427 million in personal income for local communities. Missoula Current
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ The EPA signed off on Montana’s plan to scrap numeric water quality standards and adopt narrative ones that let state officials set water checks as passed by the Legislature. Environmental groups criticized the move and said they are reviewing options to protect the state’s waterways. KPAX

- ➤ Missoula’s Watershed Navigation Center opened full-time in mid-September next to the county jail to help people facing homelessness and reentry by connecting them with housing, healthcare, and job opportunities—part of the Trinity Apartments project.
