  • Sam Adams’ new beer with a 30% ABV is banned in Montana because state law treats high-alcohol brews as liquor — it will not be sold locally under current regulations. Local consumers will not get a taste of Samuel Adams Utopia 2025 due to these legal limits.  Newstalk KGVO

  • Missoula has changed since the 90s as locals say new neighborhoods and businesses have grown while many beloved landmarks closed. Residents point out that even with rapid growth — some familiar spots still remain unchanged.  Newstalk KGVO

ECONOMY NEWS

  • Gas prices in Missoula stayed the same today at $2.99 per gallon after falling for eight weeks—prices are 5.3 cents lower than a month ago but 1.1 cents higher than last year, GasBuddy said. The national average holds at $3.03 per gallon as oil prices remain stable and refinery work may bring lower prices by Christmas.  Newstalk KGVO

  • On Friday, Judge Christopher Abbott in Lewis and Clark County District Court heard two hours of arguments from wildlife advocates who asked the court to keep the 2024 wolf season rules due to concerns that Fish, Wildlife & Parks’ statistical model may be unreliable. The advocates argued that the new 2025 regulations could allow a harmful rise in wolf deaths—while FWP maintains its model permits timely adjustments—leaving the judge to decide soon.  Missoula Current

  • Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks warned hunters that AI-generated search results are giving wrong information on hunting regulations as the big game season nears its end — they urged hunters to check official rules online or at local license providers.  Newstalk KGVO
  • The city of Missoula plans a Midtown development behind Southgate Mall—this project includes housing, businesses and a 1.3-acre park. Community members can share their ideas at a park design workshop tomorrow at Jefferson School from 5:15 p.m.—8:15 p.m.  Newstalk KGVO
  • Two Montana Highway Patrol troopers were honored at the state capitol on Monday by Attorney General Austin Knudsen—Trooper Jourdan Gulick, a 12-year veteran ending his career, received the Award of Valor for lifesaving efforts during a fiery rollover in August 2024, while Trooper Nick Wade, with five years of service, earned the Award of Commendation for rescuing a hiker and will soon join the headquarters in Boulder.  KPAX
  • The city today unveiled its master plan for the West Broadway section of the Clark Fork River — the plan will include a man-made surf wave, removal of bridges to the island, and boat ramp improvements.  Missoulian

  • The University of Montana and Providence St. Patrick Hospital have partnered to launch RESOLVE, a new rural health collaborative focused on improving care in Indigenous and rural communities.   • Rocky Mountain Ear, Nose and Throat in Butte now offers a remote audiology service that connects patients with a Missoula audiologist using new technology—helping patients get faster care for hearing loss.   • Friends of Marshall Mountain announced plans Friday to open the Marshall Mountain Rail Garden, a new terrain park for free skiing and snowboarding on the park’s lower slopes.
