- ➤ Downtown Missoula will host the annual Holidays on Higgins event on December 6 with activities including a tree lighting, stationary parade, makers market, free horse-drawn carriage rides from 12:00–3:00 p.m., and evening celebrations from 4:00–7:00 p.m. The event — organized by the Downtown Missoula Partnership and Missoula Downtown Association — is free and offers fun for all ages. - ➤ At the Missoula Food Bank & Community Center on Sunday, volunteers passed out turkeys and Thanksgiving meal fixings to over 1,500 families as part of an annual tradition. Executive director Amy Allison said the event was especially busy after a government shutdown and SNAP benefit delays. KPAX

- ➤ Sean Gerrity agreed to lead the ambitious American Prairie plan that will stitch together millions of acres in the reserve to protect grasslands and wildlife—his efforts are seen as a key step to strengthen local conservation initiatives. Missoulian

- ➤ The Bobcats secured the No.2 seed after beating Montana 31-28 last Saturday in the 124th Brawl of the Wild; this win gives MSU home-field advantage in the FCS playoffs.
