- ➤ Giving Art to Missoula is a nonprofit creative reuse center that runs a thrift store for art supplies in the historic Ceratana grain mill elevator building—next to the train tracks. It helps give new life to materials and supports local creativity. Missoulian
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Conservation groups and about 900 citizens signed a petition asking the Department of Environmental Quality to pause issuing wastewater discharge permits until it develops a science-based plan—one that protects Montana waterways from nutrient pollution. Missoula Current
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ A Montana veterinarian advised local horse owners to check their horses for fever, trouble breathing, and other signs after a national outbreak of EHV-1 connected to Texas barrel racing events was reported. Dr. Kolar recommends limiting horse contact and skipping big events until officials say it is safe—reminding owners that no cases have been reported in Montana—so they protect their animals. KPAX
