- ➤ Missoula officials have announced plans to install a memorial honoring Danit Ehrlich, who drowned in the Clark Fork River, after Bunny Ehrlich recalled the city's support + care. ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ University of Montana campus and downtown went dark Wednesday night when strong winds knocked down power lines along the Kim Williams Trail, causing a transformer explosion and delaying the men's basketball game until power was restored at 8:45 p.m. KPAX
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Montana's average gas prices have not increased since Sept. 2 and now average $2.95 per gallon, with most Missoula stations set at that rate as reported by GasBuddy's Patrick De Haan. The state's prices are 11.6 cents above last year's levels and 2.1 cents higher than last month. Newstalk KGVO

- ➤ Missoula researcher Zachary Hoylman found that warming air and declining flows have caused the Big Hole River to run hotter — putting the only native river arctic grayling at risk; experts say failing to boost water levels could worsen habitat loss before Fish and Wildlife Service decisions are made. - ➤ Missoula’s Housing Impact Fund neared its $10 million goal for local affordable housing after starting with a $9 million gift and support from local banks (including First Security and Clearwater Credit Union) and has helped build 89 affordable home units while planning further projects. KPAX
- ➤ Crews are nearly finished tearing down the historic Lolo School campus south of Missoula, clearing space for the new Belltower Subdivision with 56 planned homes on 34 acres.
