Course Description: This advanced Craniosacral Therapy Level 2 workshop is designed for practitioners seeking to deepen their skills and achieve greater effectiveness in patient outcomes. Taught by experienced instructor Steve Heinrich, PT, the class focuses on subtle, precise assessment and treatment techniques that go far beyond a typical weekend seminar. Participants will develop a masterful, confident touch and gain proficiency in handling complex restrictions within the craniosacral system.
Key Learning Outcomes: By the end of this 16-hour course, participants will be able to:
• Assess and correct advanced sphenoid lesions, including restriction patterns influenced by their bony attachments at each suture.
• Explore the dural tube in greater detail and understand its central role in assessing and treating the entire craniosacral system.
• Identify and correct (or significantly improve) dysfunctions in the buttresses of the face, cranial base, sacral base, and at each spinal level.
• Apply segmental and whole-body unwinding techniques to enhance understanding of the craniosacral system.
This workshop emphasizes subtlety, finesse, highly focused assessment, and measurable outcomes. It will dramatically improve your comprehension of craniosacral work, refine your hands-on skills, and elevate the effectiveness of your treatments.
Who Should Attend: This is an advanced class open to practitioners who have completed prior craniosacral therapy training and wish to advance their expertise. Eligible participants include those who have taken:
• CST I from Steve Heinrich, PT
• MFR I and II from John Barnes, PT
• CST I from the Upledger Institute
• CST I from other qualified instructors (on a case-by-case basis—please contact the instructor for approval)
Note: This course delivers highly evolved assessment and treatment skills, empowering healthcare practitioners (from any licensed profession) to treat bodily restrictions and cranial lesions with true accuracy, confidence, and transformative impact. It is revolutionary work for those committed to mastering craniosacral therapy.
About the Instructor : Meet Steve Heinrich, PT — a nationally respected instructor who blends deep expertise with humility, humor, and heart.
Why Learn with Steve
With over forty years in private practice, hospital rehabilitation, and home health leadership, Steve brings real-world experience to every seminar through powerful stories and practical clinical insight. He has spent decades teaching Craniosacral Therapy (CST) and Myofascial Release (MFR), creating engaging, hands-on courses that are both inspiring and immediately applicable in practice.
A Unified CST + MFR Approach
Steve presents CST and MFR as two inseparable parts of one integrated system: CST focuses on the environment of the brain and spinal cord, while MFR addresses the body’s soft tissues. Both are taught as whole-person, mind–body approaches centered on listening, seeing the bigger picture, and removing barriers to healing in a safe, honest, non-toxic therapeutic relationship.
Structure First, Then Subtle Listening
What sets Steve apart is his insistence on first mastering anatomy, structure, function, and balance of the craniosacral and fascial systems before “just listening” to the body. He believes that true clinical artistry comes only after knowing the rules well enough to bend them safely and effectively, giving students both confidence and clarity in their touch and decision-making.
Grounded, Not Vague
Although he respects biodynamic models and has personally benefited from them, Steve has found that approaches taught without a solid structural foundation often leave clinicians unable to explain or reproduce their results. Drawing on more than thirty years of studying osteopathic and structural principles, he teaches CST and MFR in a way that is both deeply skilled and clearly explainable, so students know what they are feeling, why it matters, and how to refine it.
Choosing The Right Teacher
Steve encourages practitioners to choose instructors who teach from love, acceptance, and genuinely low ego, rather than personality or mystique. His seminars are built around humility, safety, and service, creating a learning environment where questions are welcomed, hands-on practice is prioritized, and each participant feels supported as they grow their skills and expand their therapeutic impact.
